Kristine and Jeremy, Lees Summit wedding photography
Jeremy and Kristine got married at the Kansas City Baptist Temple. During the getting ready Jan and I love to work in the background, with a more reportage style (photojournalism, they used to call it just few years ago). Anyway, it’s fun to snap pictures when people are not aware you are even around them.
The reception was at the John Knox Pavillion in Lees Summit. What a great space. Here are some shots we took outside right before sunset. When it’s portrait time, the whole photojournalistic approach gets a little dimmed out and we start playing with different aspect of photography like perspective, shapes and colors, symmetry and juxtapositions.
The wedding cake was a piece of art. It was a real size reproduction of her wedding gown, made out of icing. Also great was the lighting with spotlights and color accents that were
