For Sarah’s senior session we started with a walk in the park. Just to get her to feel more comfortable in front of the camera. RUN DMC t-shirt and vintage look.

It doesn’t take much to get Sarah’s eyes to spark. A spring sun ray of light and just that look.

Prom dress on now! Here are some of my favorites in the studio. Window light with just a tad of fill to make those beautiful eyes pop. Love it.

Outside again for some aerobic exercises. This girl’s got energy to burn. Watch out!

Stephanie is a pro. So we started with some headshots with different outfits. The black one is definitely my favorite. But we’ve got to play with the white one a lot too.

The we started the real senior session, but not quite. I love this one. Looks like she is coming out of a magazine. Great job girl.

Something swanky, something strange. That’s how we roll. But then she put on a more casual outfit and we where ready to catch the last rays of light.

We shot Lindsey’s senor photo session in our new pad by the Plaza. We started with a full makeup session by Heather, our favorite make up artist. Then she slipped into an awesome dress with some wicked high heels. We took some shots inside and then out we go around the Plaza.

Before hitting the Plaza, we stopped at the Nelson, barefoot on the grass. Spring is definitely here.

New outfit, some pose striking here and there. Work it girl!

Check this out! Is a little video we toyed with while Lindsey was getting her make up done. It also has some of the portrait session and few bonus images. Love this tune by Emiliana Torrini. This was our first time to play with our new camera’s video capabilities…lots to learn!

Tyler – Kansas city senior photography

We shot Tyler in the only sunny day we had so far this spring. We had to postpone his senior session a couple of times but eventually we nailed it. I can say it was worth the wait. We first started with some “warm up” shots inside our new place.

Then, out we go to grind some curbs (I think I made this expression up, but you get the picture…). Jan’s new textures and toning are really sweet and make these images of Tyler’s senior session really “pop” but look good on the surrounding as well. Southmoreland is a great area to live in and photograph; so much unconventional people around, so much character.

It’s so nice outside and a pleasure just to walk around. One block away and we are at the Nelson Atkins. Tyler parents seem they are having a good time too. Probably thinking about a margarita and grabbing a bite to eat on the Plaza.

Quick change of clothing and we are back outside.

Kelly goes to school at Pembroke Hill, in Kansas City, but she didn’t mind driving to our studio for her senior photography. Anyway, we nailed a awesome sunny fall day and had some fun at a local park in Lees Summit.

Here is a modern classic: “color of dusk” and vintage border. I love how Jan’s presets and some well known Photoshop actions can make my photos pop this much.

Here is a classic “classic”. No toning, no photoshop, vintage pose. I cannot help but love it.
